Ladies Xmas Lunch

The ladies held their Christmas lunch again this year at the Foxburrow in Lowestoft.

Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Race to Woodhall Spa

As most ladies know we annually have comps in the diary known as EWGA medals on a Tuesday and Sat.   These have now been replaced with the above comp and the winner is announced annually.    As before, they then have the opportunity to play in a regional final and represent our club.  The venue for us this year is Rookery Park on the 21st May.

I am pleased to congratulate our winner this year, Karen Leach and please give her all our support for her participation at Rookery this year.  Well Done Karen.?

Daily Mail Foursome 2023

The winners of our Ladies Doubles Knockout are put forward to this competition.  For 2022, the winners were Carol S and Gill Gibbs, but unfortunately due to injury had to withdraw.  They were substituted by Eileen B and Karen Leach, who played in freezing conditions on the 28th Feb at Gt Yarmouth & Caister,  but lost 4+2.  Well done for playing, in difficult conditions.

Captains Drive in 2023

The three captains, Mick Turner, John Castel and Eileen Banham (standing in for Debbie Plane) drove off to start the 1st competition of the year a Texas Scramble. It was a little bit showery but otherwise the weather was fine. A great turnout and a good day was had by all. The winner team was Mick Rust, Anita Hartley and Wayne Dowler with a ghost player.  Many thanks as always to Mo, Pippa and Gill for arranging and for Mick Turner in ensuring the day went well. Over £100 raised for charity so a great start to the new year.
