How it works in practise

The system for competition scores, relative to handicap.

If we log into the terminal our intention to play a strokeplay competition round, the computer will advise our playing handicap for that competition including having deducted the 95%.

When we submit our score achieved using our playing handicap, the computer will work out the result of the competition.

The computer will also convert our 95% back to full playing handicap, calculating what that score is, normally a better score, and submit that into our last twenty cards for handicap consideration.

This card may now come into the reckoning dependant on the card that drops out of our last twenty cards. A summary but something to understand when puzzling over any resulting handicap adjustments.

This highlights the importance and need for our terminal to be used at all times.
